About CPE

WELCOME TO THE COLONIAL PARK WEBSITE!

Our Pre-K through grade 5 school is located just north of Boston in a residential area that abuts the Whip Hill Conservation Reservation.  Three hundred and eighteen students learn, laugh, and develop friendships in this new facility that boasts a state of the art library media center, science and computer labs, and a full service gymnasium.  This single level school is designed around an outside center courtyard which provides opportunities for students and teachers to explore the Outdoor Classroom concept that is the focus of education at Colonial Park.

Here at Colonial Park School all members of the school community are committed to educational excellence.  The journey to excellence begins with a single step.  As the entire school community meets before school for opening exercises, student success in all arenas is announced and celebrated.  The Early Literacy Project fosters a partnership between school and home in helping all students achieve reading mastery by the end of third grade.  New math materials emphasize written and oral explanation of math concepts and skills.  A comprehensive writing program provides the framework for student writing that meets and exceeds state mandates and goals.

Colonial Park School provides a positive learning environment where students are respected and valued as individuals while they learn to value diversity in their community and their world.  Our Bullying Protocols are in effect and enrichment programs with parallel themes are planned.  Students participate in community projects to assist needy populations both in the community and elsewhere.

Each day, parents and community volunteers walk beneath the lobby banner which reads WELCOME.  Our students and staff benefit from an active parent organization that is committed to supporting the education of students by providing field trips, and enrichment activities that foster learning.

Colonial Park has a safe, supportive, learning environment where students are encouraged to strive for excellence.  This environment facilitates taking risks and provides opportunities for exploration as students learn and grow.  Our Colonial Park Community is comprised of highly qualified, caring, and dedicated administrators, educators, and support staff who work with parents and students to see that no child is left behind.  The state of the art facility, and superb academic program combined with excellent classroom instruction and parent support offers an environment where good things happen for children and their families.

Thanks for visiting our website.
